Responsibilities

• Greets guests courteously and attentively, with an empathetic attitude
• Knows the preparation, ingredients and presentation of every drink on the menus
• Sets up the mise-en-place for cocktails and drinks before service in all beverage outlets
• Serves beverages promptly and to the resort’s required standards
• Checks the condition and cleanliness of the menus and the wine list
• Keeps up with the food and wine menus, menu prices, outlet opening hours and daily F&B activities, and suggests upselling when necessary
• Keeps the department’s equipment clean and in good working condition
• Upholds Six Senses guidelines of service and operation, and adheres strictly to LQA standards and guest comments

Requirements

• Experience in cocktail-making, beverage service and garnishing
• Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits and mixed drinks
• Experience in a similar role at luxury hotels, with proven results
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or a food service permit or valid health or food handler card, as required by the local or state government agency
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Ability to live in a remote location for extended periods and to travel on single status

Preferred qualifications

• Hospitality diploma or degree from a recognized hospitality school
