Signage supervisor job details in Doha

The work spans the shop floor and client installation sites, within a design, printing and brand activation business that runs its own production facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the production and installation of all signage projects
• Coordinates project schedules, reviews design specifications and makes sure signage meets quality standards, brand guidelines and safety regulations
• Manages the signage team on the shop floor and at installation sites, assigning tasks and tracking progress against deadlines and client expectations
• Inspects materials and troubleshoots production or installation issues
• Works with clients and the internal design and printing teams
• Keeps accurate documentation for each project
• Implements process improvements and enforces health and safety practices
• Supports the continuing training and development of signage staff

Requirements

• Valid Qatar driving licence, which the ad calls mandatory
• Experience in signage production and installation, including large format printing, fabrication and mounting of indoor and outdoor signage
• Project coordination and supervision skills, with the ability to manage schedules, resources and several signage projects at once
• Knowledge of branding and visual communication, and familiarity with basic design and print processes
• Understanding of workplace health and safety, especially for on-site installation and the handling of tools, equipment and materials
• Ability to lead and motivate diverse teams, give clear instructions and resolve operational challenges
• Communication and interpersonal skills for working across teams and with clients and vendors
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as email, spreadsheets and project tracking tools

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience in signage, printing or related manufacturing in Qatar or the GCC region
• Exposure to retail store branding, exhibition stands and corporate branding environments
• Exposure to signage or print management systems
• Technical diploma or degree in printing, fabrication, design or a related field, with equivalent practical experience also considered
• Procurement experience
