The advisor is the direct point of contact for employees of the appointed departments, keeping communication and collaboration running between those departments and HR. Responsibilities
- Serves as the direct HR contact for employees and leaders of the assigned departments, acting as liaison between them and the HR department
- Tracks and monitors attendance records and leave requests, keeping them accurate and in line with university policies
- Leads termination meetings and handles resignation cases professionally and according to university requirements
- Takes part in recruiting, sourcing and attracting talent for the assigned departments’ needs
- Leads onboarding and offboarding for new hires and departing employees
- Works with the HR team to align HR strategies with departmental goals
Requirements
- Local candidates only
- Strong grasp of HR practices, employment laws, recruitment, onboarding and employee relations
- Proficiency with HRIS/ATS systems such as BambooHR, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally
- Relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- Skill in managing multiple priorities and ensuring compliance
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Preferred qualifications
- HR certification
- HR experience in higher education or a similar setting
