The role works alongside the Food and Beverage Manager and passes that manager’s decisions down to the department, following the principles set by Rixos Hotels Egypt management. Alongside the department’s finance, standards, staffing, training and outlets, it covers recreation and entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees food and beverage operations, sets targets and gets them adopted, so that products and service reach the highest quality under the hotel’s procedures
• Analyzes sales and costs, the display quality of F&B products, service standards and guest satisfaction
• Recruits, interviews, appraises and disciplines staff, and prepares training programs for the department
• Relays the Food and Beverage Manager’s decisions to employees and plans with other department managers, using meetings to gather data and reach results
• Organizes promotions to increase sales and meetings for banquet organization, and maintains good relationships with suppliers
• Joins the Food Safety Team and MR meetings, and carries out the duties of the quality and food safety management systems
• Applies the facility’s rules on saving energy, cutting paper use, disposing of waste and handling chemicals safely
• Takes on other duties assigned by managers and hotel management
