Responsibilities

• Delegates tasks and supervises team members as they prepare, dispatch and load catering items, within timing, safety and quality standards
• Plans resource allocation with the operations supervisor, based on demand, to meet agreed objectives
• Prepares catering equipment and delivers it on time, coordinating with stakeholders
• Monitors stock levels and usage so that products and equipment are available for passenger demand, while limiting waste and optimising costs
• Leads BBSM (Behaviour Based Safety Management) checks to reduce food safety hazards and comply with department SOPs and regulations
• Guides team members on their training needs and resolves performance or operational issues, promoting a culture of safety and efficiency
• Proposes improvement plans to raise efficiency, cut costs and improve the customer experience

Requirements

• Solid grasp of operations, such as resource allocation
• Clear spoken and written communication with team members and other stakeholders
• Ability to lead, motivate and delegate to a team, and to guide its members
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for resolving operational issues quickly
• Time management and prioritisation to keep operations running smoothly against tight deadlines

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in the airline catering or food industry
• Two years of exposure to team leadership
