Retail merchandiser job details in Dubai

The merchandiser covers an assigned geographical area and product category, and much of the feedback from stores goes to the Central Retail Merchandiser.

Responsibilities

• Studies the assigned market, including fashion trends, competitor positioning and customer profiles, through regular store visits and feedback to the Central Retail Merchandiser
• Tracks sales across the area with company reporting tools and acts quickly on deviations from targets, adjusting replenishment or moving products between stores in coordination with Retail Sales Planning and Analysis
• Stays in regular contact with key stores, Store Managers and Area Managers, spots issues, briefs sales staff on product characteristics and selling points, and checks that sales performance matches stock levels
• Reports customer responses to the collection, such as fit, missing items and product or material defects
• Works with the Central Retail Merchandiser and the Product Committee on the Master Order, and with the Controlling Department on the sales budget
• Takes part in all Visual Merchandising activities, including planning, follow-up and replanning, and works with the Visual Display team on product display planning
• Verifies that store displays match sales objectives and the collection concept, helps prepare guidance materials for stores and monitors seasonal guidelines, and analyzes displayed versus sold products to keep rotation consistent
• Runs product training for sales staff and supervises team members’ daily work
