Inventory counts, FIFO, LIFO and FEFO methods and ERP records are part of the daily work.
About the storekeeper job in 10th of Ramadan
The storekeeper acts as the custodian of inventory records, with production continuity and less material wastage as the aims. All stock transactions follow company policies and the ERP and warehouse systems.
Responsibilities
- Manages the warehouses for raw materials, finished products, production supplies and spare parts to industrial standards
- Runs receiving, inspection, storage and issuing under quality and safety procedures
- Applies FIFO, LIFO and FEFO methods and improves storage practices to cut waste and losses
- Operates ERP and inventory management software and prepares accurate reports for management
- Carries out regular cycle counts, analyzes discrepancies and applies corrective actions
- Follows Occupational Health & Safety standards and safe storage requirements
- Coordinates with the Production, Planning, Purchasing and Quality departments to keep materials flowing
- Suggests and applies continuous improvement ideas through Lean Warehousing, and helps cut costs through efficient use of space and management of slow-moving items
Requirements
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel
- Familiarity with safety standards, handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and warehouse layout principles
- Analytical skills to prepare accurate reports and support management decisions
- Highly organized approach, commitment to procedures and ability to work under pressure
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field
Preferred qualifications
- Warehouse experience in plastics or similar industries
