The work happens in fulfillment centers, where teams stow, pick, pack and ship inventory. Time splits between two lines. Inventory control means analysis and research to understand and correct gaps in stock records. Quality assurance means proactively auditing how closely teams follow agreed processes and flagging discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Manages the site-based Inventory Control and Quality Assurance team
• Upholds Health and Safety standards in the area of influence and promotes a positive safety culture on site
• Monitors KPIs on the accuracy and integrity of quality and inventory transactions and feeds results back to Operations
• Reviews and analyzes customer defect data and builds action plans to remove the causes
• Develops and runs daily, weekly and monthly action plans to raise quality, inventory accuracy and service satisfaction
• Works with management on communicating Inventory Control and Quality Assurance policies and procedures, and watches compliance in the fulfillment center
• Carries out supervisory duties under Amazon policies, including interviewing and training exempt and non-exempt employees, setting and meeting operational goals, planning and forecasting, assigning work, appraising performance, and rewarding or disciplining where appropriate
• Builds an understanding of fulfillment center inventory systems and processes and helps solve problems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science, business administration or a related field, or equivalent
• Experience developing experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, using strong baselines and determining cause and effect accurately
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams under deadline pressure
• Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including colleagues and leadership, or experience managing teams
• Fluent English in speaking, writing and reading, and the ability to take direction in English
• Flexibility to work the hours the business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
• Willingness to travel between cities in Egypt for quick commerce site visits

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in a distribution center, logistics or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Six Sigma tools and Lean techniques
• A degree in a science or logistics-based discipline, with a strong bias toward analytics and data
