Logistics Senior Specialist

Hikma Pharmaceuticals has a vacancy for a Logistics Senior Specialist in 6th of October City, Egypt, to prepare and process import and export documentation. Day to day, the work centers on Cargo X and Nafeeza paperwork, ACID numbers and a goal of zero demurrage.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and controls day-to-day activity on imported and exported shipments
• Reviews, organizes and controls the documents a smooth import process needs, and follows up on receiving import and export shipment documents, including Cargo X, Nafeeza and the creation of ACID numbers
• Reports shipment status and expected arrival dates every day
• Deals with suppliers on tracking, routing, dispatching and rate quotations, aiming for the lowest freight cost and transit time
• Follows shipments at the port and works with the broker to speed up clearance
• Builds a dynamic customs clearance process, takes part in developing it to raise the section’s efficiency, and handles administrative issues while keeping professional relationships with service providers
• Collects banking documents from treasury and the purchasing department to start customs clearance
• Keeps records of demurrage while working toward zero, coordinates arrivals with the warehouse and monitors local transport

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or an equivalent field
• Experience covering import/export, customs clearance and freight forwarding
• Spoken and written Arabic and English, which the ad calls a must
• Strong command of Egyptian customs clearance procedures, Incoterms, dangerous-goods transport regulations and logistics systems
• Working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel
