About the Planning Engineer job in Amman
The Planning Engineer turns complex scopes into realistic, controlled programmes and keeps projects on track with clear reporting. The work spans tender and pre-construction programmes, progress tracking, and presenting schedule status to management and clients.
Responsibilities
Develops detailed baseline programmes covering WBS, activities, logic, durations, and resource and cost loading
Prepares tender and pre-construction programmes and method-of-work sequencing
Updates schedules regularly and tracks progress against the baseline and critical path
Produces weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, look-aheads and dashboards
Applies earned value (EVM) to monitor performance, forecasts and productivity
Identifies delays early and prepares recovery plans and mitigation measures
Carries out delay analysis (TIA, windows analysis) and supports EOT claims
Coordinates with design, procurement, site teams and subcontractors, and integrates subcontractor programmes into the master schedule
Presents schedule status to management and clients
Requirements
Expertise in Primavera P6, with working knowledge of MS Project
Strong understanding of CPM scheduling, EVM and progress measurement
Experience with delay analysis and EOT submissions
Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and contract administration
Advanced Excel and Power BI (or similar) reporting skills
Excellent English and strong communication and presentation skills
Preferred qualifications
PMP or PMI-SP certification
