About the Design Manager job in Amman
The Design Manager steers multidisciplinary design from concept to construction, protects design quality and keeps deliverables on the project programme. The role also covers presenting design packages to clients and supporting site teams.
Responsibilities
Leads the architectural, interior and engineering design teams and oversees design development from concept to detailed and IFC drawings
Plans design deliverables against the project programme and keeps them on schedule
Coordinates architectural, structural and MEP disciplines to keep the design clash-free
Reviews and approves drawings, specifications and shop drawings
Checks compliance with codes, authority requirements and client standards
Runs design reviews and presents design packages to clients and stakeholders
Manages design changes and weighs their effect on cost and time
Drives value engineering while protecting the design intent
Resolves design queries and RFIs from site teams
Requirements
Classification as Head of Specialty (Architecture)
Strong experience in building, fit-out and interior projects
Solid knowledge of local codes, authority approvals and design standards
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with BIM coordination experience
Excellent leadership, coordination and client management skills
Excellent English and strong presentation skills
Preferred qualifications
PMP or a design management certification
