About the backend engineer (Python) job in Amman

Responsibilities
- Builds and maintains scalable Python applications, APIs and automation services
- Develops automation workflows for business and operational processes, and extends the in-house automation platform
- Adds LLM capabilities and AI agents to business workflows, using LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tool calling and structured outputs
- Connects services to databases, APIs, message brokers and enterprise systems
- Keeps automation solutions reliable, secure and ready for production
- Troubleshoots production issues in automation services and workflows, and supports the platform on an ongoing basis
- Tracks new AI and automation technologies for improvements the business could adopt
Requirements
- Strong Python skills, with production-grade applications and services behind them
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django or a similar framework
- Solid grasp of REST APIs, microservices and system integrations
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB or comparable relational and NoSQL databases
- Hands-on work with Generative AI and LLMs, including integrating them into applications
- Understanding of prompt engineering, tool calling, structured outputs and AI agents
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and debugging abilities
Preferred qualifications
- Experience modernizing or migrating RPA workflows with Python, APIs or AI
- Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar messaging technologies
- Experience working in Agile/SCRUM teams
