Assigned tasks are carried out under the technical guidance of the Division Leader, and the holder is expected to learn more of the division’s technology stack over time, helping out on documentation, testing and code quality along the way. The duties below are not an exhaustive list.

Responsibilities

• Turns business, sales and technical needs into back-end solutions, platforms and changes, then tests them and integrates them with current systems
• Creates programs and back-end integrations for Customer Care applications and Business Support Systems, among them FTTH Contractors, Corporate SMS, CMS back-ends and adapters, HR Solutions, Commission Engines and CDRs back-ends
• Works with Java, Java Spring Boot, PHP, MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle DB, REST APIs, web services and microservices to deliver back-end platforms and the solutions users interact with
• Teams up with the division’s front-end and mobile developers on the back-ends and APIs their solutions need, agreeing contracts and integration points
• Supports implementation across several platforms and legacy applications, including migrations and integration work as assigned
• Reviews colleagues’ code and has own code reviewed, taking feedback on board
• Maintains CI/CD pipeline components using the DevOps tools Zain relies on, namely Prometheus & Grafana, Elasticsearch & Kibana, Kubernetes, Docker and Azure DevOps
• Monitors server and application performance to keep systems running smoothly day to day, and helps optimize the systems already in place

Requirements

• Related fields of study are accepted alongside Computer Science and Computer Engineering for the degree
• Both the degree and the experience are needed to be shortlisted
