Responsibilities

• Handles bookings, changes and cancellations that arrive by phone, fax or mail
• Matches each guest’s needs to a room type, confirms that room type and rate are available, and follows sales techniques to maximize revenue
• Explains guarantee, special-rate and cancellation policies to callers
• Documents special requests and answers questions about the property’s facilities, services and rooms
• Enters and retrieves reservation data, applying the correct code and rate to complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent inspection rates and wholesale reservations
• Welcomes guests as company standards require, anticipates their service needs, assists guests with disabilities and uses proper phone etiquette, escalating concerns through the set procedure
• Keeps a clean, professional appearance and protects confidential information, company assets, and the privacy and security of guests and coworkers
• Supports the team, meets quality assurance standards and takes on other reasonable duties supervisors assign

Requirements

• Arabic speaker
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects of up to 10 pounds without assistance

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• No related work experience, supervisory experience, license or certification listed
