Founding head of prep job details in Bahrain
The permanent post reports to the Founding Principal of Repton Bahrain and sits on the Senior Leadership Team. Responsibilities
- Defines what is distinctively Repton in a Bahraini prep school and leads the Houses, values, traditions and uniform culture from the first day
- Recruits, inducts and develops the founding team: Deputy and Assistant Heads, phase leaders, an EYFS lead, specialists and the Arabic and Islamic Studies team
- Writes Prep policies to Ministry of Education and BQA standards
- Acts as the Designated Safeguarding Lead or line-manages the post-holder, and leads inclusion, wellbeing, behaviour and safer recruitment
- Serves on the Senior Leadership Team and manages the Prep budget
- Contributes to the school’s growth into its senior phases
- Works with Repton Family of Schools and Repton UK, including Repton Prep in Derbyshire, through mentoring, shared training and annual quality assurance visits
Requirements
- Experience as a prep or primary leader
- Commitment to see the Prep School through for at least three to five years
