Responsibilities
- Deploys, installs, configures and tests firm hardware and software
- Handles provisioning and deprovisioning, including onboarding new hires and collecting hardware from departing staff
- Coordinates or assists with repairs of end-user hardware and reinstalls software to resolve incidents
- Resolves incidents on firm-standard hardware, software and mobile technology, spotting trends to head off repeat issues
- Gives after-hours support on escalated issues with minimal supervision
- Manages assets, covering procurement, inventory, tracking and distribution under EY policies
- Supports off-site technology for firm meetings, events, office moves and relocations
- Acts as “remote hands” for other EY Technology teams such as Telecommunications and Hosting
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills for incidents escalated from the service desk or raised through walk-up support
- Ability to prioritize incidents and explain timelines and expectations clearly to end users
- Communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Customer service mindset and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Comfort working with a range of hardware and software technologies
- Experience supporting office moves, technology deployments or large user groups
