Responsibilities
- Carries out inspection, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and servicing of equipment and machinery as required
- Identifies technical faults and recommends corrective actions
- Writes up service reports and inspection records, and keeps maintenance logs and technical documentation current
- Coordinates with customers, suppliers, technicians and other departments so service work finishes on time
- Checks incoming materials, equipment, components and completed work against approved specifications and quality standards, and runs quality checks and functional tests before delivery or service completion
- Spots non-conformities, defects and quality issues, coordinates corrective and preventive actions, and maintains inspection records, checklists and test reports
- Follows company health, safety and environmental policies, company procedures, customer requirements and technical standards, and reports technical problems, equipment failures, quality deviations and safety incidents to the supervisor
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives, looks after tools, equipment and spare parts, and takes on related duties assigned by management
