Responsibilities
- Deploys IBS and repeater solutions from start to finish across 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G
- Handles technical issues and clarifications on IBS projects, audits designs, checks site acceptance against the standards and takes part in negotiations
- Provides technical expertise on site for DAS and small cell work, from survey and design through integration, commissioning, testing and optimization
- Manages subcontractors, coordinates with customers and monitors each project through to delivery
- Carries out acceptance visits and gathers post-deployment data to confirm compliance with Vodafone and building management requirements
- Looks after Technology Warehouse inventory and forecasts how much of it is used
Requirements
- Knowledge of project management and MS Office tools
- Understanding of DAS products such as antennas, couplers and combiners, along with telecom room preparation, rectifiers and batteries
- Good understanding of 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies, with hands-on experience
- Familiarity with active and passive solutions from major manufacturers such as Commscope, Cobham and Huawei
- An equivalent qualification in place of the engineering degree
