The ad describes a client-centered, multidisciplinary clinical setting serving a multicultural population of children, adolescents and adults.

Responsibilities

• Runs psychological assessments and clinical interviews with children, adolescents and adults
• Provides individual counseling and psychotherapy, and family counseling where appropriate
• Builds individualized treatment plans around client needs, tracks progress and adjusts the plans when required
• Supports clients with emotional, behavioral, developmental and psychological concerns
• Keeps accurate, confidential clinical records
• Works with psychiatrists, physicians, therapists, schools and other healthcare professionals, including multidisciplinary case discussions
• Communicates with clients and families from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Follows the professional, ethical and confidentiality standards that apply in the UAE

Requirements

• Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology or a related field, as applicable to the role
• Relevant clinical experience working with children, adolescents and/or adults
• Strong assessment, counseling and communication skills
• Ability to work with culturally diverse clients
• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, professionalism and a commitment to client-centered care
• UAE/Dubai professional licensing that meets the requirements for the applicant’s scope of practice

Preferred qualifications

• Fluency in Arabic and English, French and English, or English plus another language
• Experience in child and adolescent psychology, behavioral and emotional difficulties, developmental concerns, or school-related and learning difficulties
• Experience in anxiety, depression and stress management, family and relationship counseling, psychological assessments or adult mental health
