What the warehouse specialist job in Cairo involves
The role supports day-to-day warehouse operations and works directly with materials, with accurate inventory and transaction records as the standard. A warehouse worker is on hand to share the daily material handling.
Responsibilities
- Receives, inspects and stores incoming materials in their designated locations
- Picks, prepares and physically releases materials against approved requirements, making sure what leaves the shelf matches the quantities and details in the system
- Records warehouse transactions accurately in JDE
- Supports regular inventory counts, investigates stock discrepancies and flags shortages or damaged materials while tracking stock movement
- Coordinates with internal teams on material availability and releases
- Works alongside the warehouse worker on daily material handling
- Keeps the warehouse organized, clean and safe, and follows the safety and warehouse procedures for handling and storage
Requirements
- For the diploma or bachelor’s route, a field such as logistics, supply chain, business administration or a related area
- Basic knowledge of warehouse and inventory-control processes
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer applications
- Ability and willingness to do hands-on material handling and warehouse work
- Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory transactions
- Communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to organize work and manage multiple material requests efficiently
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with JDE (JD Edwards)
- ERP experience in general
