Responsibilities

• Handles opening and closing routines: sets up supplies and tools, cleans equipment and areas, switches appliances such as coffee makers on and off, and locks up
• Takes orders, enters them in the MICROS system, prepares coffee beverages and food, and collects payment at the register
• Stocks and maintains the work areas, and gets enough change for the expected level of business
• Clears the coffee cart areas and tables, and cleans dishes, utensils, tables and equipment through the day
• Counts the bank at the end of the shift, completes cashier reports, resolves discrepancies, drops off receipts and secures the bank
• Welcomes guests, addresses their service needs and assists guests with disabilities, while following safety and security policies and reporting accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions

Requirements

• Able to move, lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 25 pounds without help
• Able to stand, sit or walk for long periods, up to a full shift
• Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination to handle objects of different sizes and weights
• Able to reach overhead and below the knees, with bending, twisting and stooping, to move through narrow, confined or elevated spaces, and to go up and down stairs and service ramps
• Reading and checking information in different formats, including small print, plus visual checks of tools and equipment
• Clear, professional spoken communication
• Clean, professional uniform and appearance, and completed safety training and certifications
