Responsibilities

• Heading the bank’s enterprise AI and Generative AI work, together with its advanced analytics and data science capabilities and the operating model behind them
• Advancing the top-priority use cases for machine learning, AI and advanced analytics from development to adoption, and setting standards and good practice throughout the field
• Owning how AI and analytics platforms are designed, built, rolled out and governed, including support for Microsoft Fabric as well as other data and analytics platforms that fit
• Building data pipelines that bring several sources together, and overseeing the dashboards, insights and analytical solutions that feed decision-making
• Converting business needs into prioritized initiatives and running them end to end, from assessment and design to testing, deployment and adoption, with scalable, reusable solutions
• Shaping and rolling out the bank’s AI governance framework: policies, controls and requirements for approval, validation and deployment, plus making sure AI work meets regulatory and risk requirements as well as data governance and internal controls, and oversight of model performance, data quality and lifecycle
• Partnering with the Technology, Strategy, MIS, Data, Innovation and business teams to spot opportunities, briefing senior management on initiatives, risks and priorities, and managing the vendors and technology partners involved
• Growing in-house skills in AI, data engineering and data science through mentoring and knowledge sharing, and absorbing know-how from external partners to cut reliance on vendors
