About the assistant store manager job in Dammam
The assistant manager sets sales targets together with the Store Manager and is expected to know how the store is performing against its KPIs. Day to day, that means working with the sales team, the stock room and the shop floor, in line with the company’s brand and retail standards.
Responsibilities
- Leads by example on customer service and keeps the team focused on customer needs
- Works with the Store Manager to set sales targets, tracks sales and KPI performance, and makes sure the team understands what is expected
- Runs promotional offers and sales strategies across the store
- Oversees inventory control, stock checks and replenishment, including the back-store area
- Keeps merchandising, layout and presentation in line with brand and retail standards
- Audits store administration, resolves issues and applies changes in procedure
- Manages schedules, leave and days off, handles staff complaints, gives ongoing feedback and takes disciplinary action when needed
- Enforces security procedures for stock and cash and keeps employee information confidential
Requirements
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a customer-centric role, including strong management experience
- Leadership and problem-solving skills
- Proven record of improving customer engagement and meeting or exceeding store sales KPI targets
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, retail management or a related field
