What the digital lead job in Abu Dhabi involves
The post is meant to help present AirQ as a UAE UAS group that is both credible and defence-first, and it works closely alongside the Head of Marketing to do so. That positioning has to stay consistent on every digital platform.
Responsibilities
- Runs the corporate website, keeping its content accurate and engaging and improving its structure, performance and user experience
- Develops SEO strategies to lift search rankings in the UAE, the GCC and international markets, covering keyword research, technical improvements and visibility in Google AI Overviews and other AI-powered search platforms
- Looks after the LinkedIn and Instagram channels, builds an integrated content calendar and uses official content to raise leadership visibility and strengthen employee engagement
- Writes B2B content such as newsletters, posts and website updates, and liaises with translation partners over the website’s Arabic content
- Plans and runs paid campaigns on Google Ads and LinkedIn, monitoring results and optimising ad spend, and covers the digital side of exhibitions and major campaigns, IDEX 2027 among them
- Handles Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager, and puts together monthly marketing reports and performance dashboards
- Tracks website enquiries, evaluates how marketing is performing and identifies qualified leads, working with Sales so that digital enquiries become business opportunities
- Oversees the outside digital agencies and the platform partners, leads the Content & Social Executive once the position is filled, and checks that digital communications follow the approval procedures and brand guidelines
Requirements
- A degree in computer science, digital media, communications, marketing or a related field
- At least 3 years in charge of corporate websites, plus SEO and social media
- Experience of managing marketing campaigns, and of managing digital agencies
- CMS and website management, plus SEO work covering technical optimisation and keyword research
- Skills in Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager, together with marketing automation and CRM platforms
- Communication skills and strong B2B content writing, alongside basic graphic design and video editing
- Ownership and accountability, along with a careful eye for detail and for brand consistency
- Strategic thinking matched by hands-on execution, plus the ability to manage several projects and their due dates and to work with cross-functional teams
Preferred qualifications
- B2B background in aerospace, defence, technology or industrial sectors
- Experience in the UAE or GCC market
- Arabic language skills
