Responsibilities

• Frames design problems with PMs, engineers and other stakeholders so the squad concentrates on high-impact work

• Contributes to and maintains the squad’s design system, coordinating with other squads on consistency and scalability
• Prototypes ideas and tests them with users and stakeholders
• Works with engineers during the build phase, refining interactions and resolving handoff issues
• Gives feedback on interaction design and proposes information architecture improvements in Figma
• Follows and contributes to the product shipping process
• Iterates using data and feedback, connecting design decisions to user and business metrics

Requirements

• Product design background that includes SaaS products in high-growth settings, with familiarity with SaaS-specific challenges
• Collaboration skills for cross-functional squads, including PMs, POs, engineers and QA
• Product sense, meaning the ability to reason about metrics like activation, retention and conversion and link design work to them, with concrete examples of how they shaped earlier decisions
• A portfolio with high-quality visual design in typography, layout, color and fine detail, beyond UX flows
• Experience having built a design system rather than only contributing to one, with high adoption among designers and engineers alike
• Working experience with modular, scalable design systems as both a user and a contributor
• Proficiency in Figma
• User-centered design expertise, applied in iterating on solutions with cross-functional teams

Preferred qualifications

• High-fidelity low-code/no-code prototyping tools such as Framer, ProtoPie or Webflow
