Responsibilities

• Writes and keeps current the system configuration, solutions design and disaster recovery plans (DRPs) covering cloud platforms, networks, databases, applications, infrastructure and IT services
• Rewrites what subject matter experts provide into documentation that is standardised and simple to follow
• Produces disaster recovery runbooks, recovery procedures, failover and failback instructions and step-by-step technical guides, and maps recovery architectures, system dependencies and workflows
• Maintains approval workflows, version control, naming conventions, standards and templates for documentation

Requirements

• Technical writing background spanning IT and infrastructure documentation, business continuity and disaster recovery projects
• Experience with document management systems, version control and formal review and approval processes
• Knowledge of documentation lifecycle management, document control and quality assurance practices
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Visio
• Excellent written communication, editing, analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• A team-player, customer-oriented mindset and proficiency in English and Arabic, written and spoken
