Business continuity and risk management specialist job details in Doha
The role helps business areas identify critical activities, dependencies, recovery requirements and operational risks. It also covers maintaining Business Continuity Plans and departmental risk registers, coordinating continuity exercises, monitoring risk and continuity performance, and giving management accurate resilience and risk information.
Responsibilities
- Supports the maintenance and continual improvement of MATAR’s BCMS, keeps its documentation, registers, templates, schedules and evidence in line with MATAR requirements, and supports compliance with approved policies and procedures
- Helps keep an ISO 22301-aligned management system and prepares for internal and external assurance, assisting audits and certification activities with evidence collation and tracking of corrective actions
- Monitors departmental continuity activities and flags overdue reviews, testing requirements, corrective actions and issues that need management attention
- Compiles BCMS performance information, trends, outstanding actions and evidence for periodic management review, and keeps governance records for the BC and Risk functions
- Coordinates the BIA lifecycle across assigned HIA departments and facilitates workshops with business owners and departmental Business Continuity Champions
- Identifies and documents critical activities, disruption impacts, recovery requirements, internal and external dependencies, critical people and skills, systems and technology dependencies, and facilities, equipment and resource needs
- Reviews BIA submissions for completeness, consistency and quality, challenges and validates recovery requirements with the business functions, and keeps BIA records current as airport operations change
- Researches aviation resilience, risk and business continuity developments, recommends improvements, and contributes to the evolution of MATAR’s integrated resilience operating model
Requirements
- Experience developing and implementing business continuity and risk management policies and processes
- Experience creating and implementing business continuity plans, solutions, strategies and risk assessments for an airport operation
- Working knowledge of Business Continuity Management ISO 22301 and ISO 22313, or Risk Management ISO 31000, or incident management, emergency response or recognized BCM industry standards
- Business continuity and crisis management experience in airport operations or airlines
- Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), Disaster Recovery Institute (CBCP) or similar certification
Preferred qualifications
- Airport and airline experience
- CBCI, MBCI, ISO Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor certification with proven implementation
