• Plans and coordinates daily production and monitors work in progress and sub-store inventory
• Leads process improvement, optimizing equipment and materials, and formulates best practices to raise capacity, quality and reliability
• Gives engineering support to production and maintenance activities
• Assesses ongoing production, investigates issues to find root causes, and suggests solutions and improvements
• Implements cost-reduction initiatives without lowering quality, and writes operating instructions, equipment specifications and written procedures, looking for automation opportunities where possible
• Trains and guides team members
• Takes part in 5S with the safety in-charge, and follows the safety, quality and environmental procedures, policies and work instructions of the area
• Delivers planned activities to schedule, reports periodically on deviations and execution, escalates complex operational issues, and keeps up with product specifications, engineering technology and production processes
