The supervisor works the floor with the service team, backs management on people matters and acts as a role model for colleagues. Responsibilities

• Keeps the service team working together and checks staff grooming and attire, correcting any shortfalls
• Handles opening and closing routines, including supplies and tools, cleaning of equipment and areas, and locking doors
• Reviews how storage areas are organized and kept clean, and whether FIFO is followed
• Runs the scheduled inventory counts, requisitions supplies and files work orders for maintenance repairs
• Tracks which seats are free in the dining rooms and keeps an eye on service, safety and guest well-being
• Greets guests the way company standards describe, anticipates and handles their service needs, assists guests with disabilities and thanks them sincerely
• Helps management with staff hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation and coaching, and is the first contact for staff in the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
• Follows company safety and security procedures, reports accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to the manager, and completes safety training and certifications

Preferred qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 2 years of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
