Responsibilities

• Advises residential, commercial and high-end clients on interiors, visiting sites and taking measurements to understand what they need
• Develops full design concepts covering furniture layouts, colour schemes, materials, lighting and accessories, presented through mood boards, 2D layouts and 3D visualisations
• Recommends furniture, upholstery, lighting, rugs and decorative accessories from IDdesign collections
• Takes projects from first consultation through execution and installation
• Works with the showroom sales team to turn consultations into confirmed sales, shaping customised solutions within clients’ budgets and following up with them
• Builds relationships with architects, interior consultants, property developers and corporate clients, and looks for residential, hospitality and commercial project opportunities
• Styles showroom displays and lifestyle settings, refreshes layouts as new collections and trends arrive, and works with sales and marketing on seasonal campaigns, launches and promotions

Requirements

• Proven experience in client consultations, furniture selection, space planning and project execution
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray or equivalent design software
• Strong understanding of contemporary furniture, European design trends, materials, fabrics and finishes
• Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, plus the commercial awareness to support sales conversion
• Fluent English
• A strong professional design portfolio (the listing calls it mandatory)

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in premium furniture retail or luxury residential interiors
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or similar presentation tools
• Arabic
• Previous experience in Oman or the GCC
