About the assets services lead job in Cairo

The post is based at the Egypt head office of Azadea Business Services (ABS), where the stated purpose is an efficient end-to-end accounting service for the group. The lead works with the Treasury Manager, the Financial Controller or Area Financial Controller, and internal and external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Oversees fixed asset management, covering accurate recording, depreciation and reconciliation against policies and financial statements, and validates the reports on fixed assets and prepaid movements
• Controls supplier advances, monitors financial obligations and records advances against assets on time, while tightening control over advances and CAPEX against budget limits and feasibility studies
• Enforces approval cycles in the system, keeps control of balance sheet accounts and expenses, and holds the work to tax regulations, GAAP/IFRS and company policies
• Analyzes statistical and functional reports for process improvements, and keeps accounting procedures and system processes developing alongside evolving standards
• Manages cash flow by overseeing cash movements and daily coverage, assesses the country’s financial needs with the Treasury Manager and Financial Controller, and keeps cash flow reports that show management its financial exposure
• Works with stakeholders to improve service quality and with auditors on financial and operational audits
• Recruits, trains, motivates and evaluates the team

Requirements

• Three years of experience in a managerial role
• Fluency in English
• Proficiency in MS Office

Preferred qualifications

• Fluency in French
• Master’s degree
