Responsibilities
- Makes sure the firm’s existing policies and procedures are followed daily and that its processes meet the applicable requirements
- Reviews the accounts and finance policies and procedures at regular intervals so they stay accurate and in line with the relevant rules and regulations
- Keeps financial records accurate, complete and timely, with income and liabilities recorded, reconciled and reviewed
- Produces the monthly MIS reports
- Calculates and maintains the statements of capital adequacy and liquidity adequacy for internal and FSRA reporting, in line with financial laws and FSRA guidelines
Requirements
- Certified Accountant qualification
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including regulatory frameworks
- Understanding of UAE and ADGM financial regulations and what they mean for the firm’s finances
- Knowledge of financial services products and markets, such as exchange-traded futures and options, foreign exchange and CFD products
- Fluent English
Preferred qualifications
- Post-qualification experience in the financial services industry, ideally at an ADGM- or DIFC-regulated firm
- Additional languages
