About the Voice Interview Coach
How you say an answer matters as much as what you say. Record your answer with dictation, or type it, and the coach measures your speaking time and pace, counts filler words and repeated words, flags long sentences, and checks the STAR structure.
When to use the Voice Interview Coach?
When you want to hear your answer, not just read it: how fast do you speak, do you use many filler words, and how long does your answer really take? It suits people who get nervous when talking or speak quickly.
How to use the Voice Interview Coach?
- Choose the dictation language and write the question.
- Press “Start recording” and answer out loud, then stop.
- Correct any dictation errors in the text.
- Press “Analyze the answer” and follow the notes for your next recording.
How to read the result
After the speech is converted to text you get your actual speaking time, your speed in words per minute, a count of filler words and the structure of your answer. A suitable speed is roughly 110 to 160 words per minute.
Tips for a better result
- Speak in a quiet place and in your natural voice so the browser captures your words well.
- Correct the words the browser mis-transcribed before the analysis; they affect the calculation.
- Record again after reading the analysis and compare speaking time and filler words between the two attempts.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Reading from a written text instead of speaking naturally, so you measure your reading and not your speech.
- Ignoring the browser's request to allow the microphone, so nothing is heard.
- Trying to remove every filler word; the aim is to reduce them, not to eliminate them.
Note: Dictation relies on the browser's speech recognition and may make mistakes with some accents; you can correct the text or type it by hand.
