About the Job Application Tracker
A job search is easier to manage when every application is in one place. Log each one with its status, source and dates; the tracker flags applications that need a follow-up, lets you search and filter, and exports everything to CSV for Excel.
When to use the Job Application Tracker?
From your very first application, especially if you apply to more than ten jobs. Instead of scattered files or memory, the tracker keeps each application, its status and its follow-up date.
How to use the Job Application Tracker?
- Fill in the title, employer and status.
- Add the application date and, if you like, a follow-up date and link.
- Press “Add application”.
- Update statuses as things move, and follow up when flagged.
How to read the result
Your applications appear in a table with employer, title, status, source and application date, and any application a week old without an update is marked as needing follow-up. You can export a CSV copy that opens in Excel.
Tips for a better result
- Add the application as soon as you apply, with the link and the source, so the posting's details are not lost after it is removed.
- Update the status at every development, including rejection; complete data is what makes the Application Success Analysis useful.
- Export a backup copy every week.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Recording applications weeks after applying, relying on memory.
- Not recording rejections, which misleads the analysis dashboards.
- Relying on the browser alone without a backup; clearing browser data wipes the record.
Note: Data is kept in your browser on this device only and the site cannot see it, so it cannot be recovered if it is lost.
Frequently asked questions
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. It stays in your browser on this device. Export a JSON backup to move it.
