About the Application Success Analysis
If many applications lead nowhere, the problem is usually at one stage. This analysis reads your tracker and calculates the rate from application to interview and from interview to offer, identifies the weakest stage, suggests the tools to fix it, and compares your sources.
When to use the Application Success Analysis?
After you have submitted several applications, at least ten, and want to know where you are getting stuck: in reaching the interview, or in turning interviews into offers. The dashboard diagnoses the weakest stage.
How to use the Application Success Analysis?
- Log at least 10 applications in the Job Application Tracker.
- Open the analysis.
- Focus on the weakest stage it identifies.
How to read the result
It shows the conversion path from application to interview to offer, how each source you applied through performs, and a diagnosis of the weakest stage with a suggested tool to fix it. An interview is counted once an application's status has reached it.
Tips for a better result
- Record rejections too; they are part of the picture.
- Compare yourself with yourself: do the rates improve after you edit your resume or practice for interviews?
- Try the tool suggested for the weakest stage and check again after ten new applications.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Judging the result after four or five applications; the sample is too small.
- Changing the status straight to rejected without passing through interview when an interview did take place.
- Comparing your rates with those of people in other fields.
Note: The analysis is simple and depends on what you recorded; there is no ideal conversion rate for every field.
