About the Career Roadmap

Getting a new role takes more than learning. This roadmap spreads your time each month across four tracks — skills, proof, CV and profile, networking and applying — shifting from learning to applying as you progress, with a milestone for every month.

When to use the Career Roadmap?

When you need an execution plan month by month for changing jobs or moving up, not just a list of what to learn. The tool divides your time among learning, proof, resume, relationships and applying.

How to use the Career Roadmap?

  1. Enter your current and target roles.
  2. Choose the plan length and weekly hours.
  3. List your skills.
  4. Press “Create my roadmap” and follow it month by month.

How to read the result

You get a monthly schedule for 3, 6 or 12 months across five parallel tracks whose weights change over time: more learning at the start and more applying and networking at the end, with a measure for each month.

Tips for a better result

  • Choose the duration that fits your available hours; a longer period at a calmer pace is better than cramming tasks.
  • Mark each month's tasks when you finish them and review the indicators at its end.
  • Start reaching out to people in your field early and do not leave it for the end of the plan.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Neglecting the relationships track and only learning.
  • Delaying applications until you feel completely ready; the plan deliberately puts applying in the last months.
  • Abandoning the plan after falling behind in a single month instead of extending the duration.

Note: The roadmap is a general model of how to spread your time; adjust it to your market and your circumstances.

Frequently asked questions

Can I start applying before the plan ends?

Yes. The plan already moves time toward applying in the later months.
